Labor Day Weekend & More

We went to Lake Meyer for our first fishing excursion - Luke shows off one of three fish he and Bruce caught.

Luke demonstrates his casting technique.

We visited Forestville - a living history museum set in 1899 that is a short drive from the cabin, that features several original buildings, a general store, chicken coop with chickens, and a big garden. Hannah shows off a new bonnet.

Hannah feels the prickly skin of a wild pickle.

Sarah and Maria made a homemade pole to fish for trout, while Luke and Bruce look on.

Sarah and Maria wait patiently for a bite.
Luke and Grampa get ready for a wagon ride.

Hannah sidles up to the juice bar.

Nana, Grampa, Sarah, and Maria enjoy breakfast on the cabin porch.

Maria and Hannah snuggle in Nana's bed.

Luke and Hannah were so excited to have cousins Sarah and Maria up for a visit.

Luke and Bruce take a quiet moment over a glass of milk in the backyard.

A half-and-half squash from our cabin garden.

Luke takes care of those pesky stray leaves inside the house, while Hannah looks on.

Hannah is ready to be cooked up for dinner!

Luke likes to have his maracas ready for an impromptu concert.
